Just up the road is the Ettamogah Pub and if you are in the area is well worth a visit.
The Albury Ettamogah was used as the base to bring the Ettamogah brand into a                                        themed restaurant and pub chain across Australia.                                      Continual development has turned the Albury                                                Ettamogah into a well known and well loved tourist                                  destination. The family restaurant features a Maynard                                Museum, well known Ettamogah products, and the                            latest addition, recently completed holiday                           accommodation cabins, all of which are proving                                         immensely popular with the tourism market.                                            Combining a unique atmosphere with exceptional                           restaurant service, stepping into a Ettamogah pub is                                             like stepping into a Maynard cartoon itself, providing                                                 a unique and refreshing dining experience for all.
If you like the Ken Maynard cartoons then click on the Ettamogah sign                                                                   for a few laughs.

Jest A While

Tiger and Stevie

Tiger Woods is attending a charity dinner and is seated next to Stevie Wonder.                                                       They get chatting and eventually the conversation turns to golf and Tiger recent                                       perfomances. After hearing some of Stevie's comments and advice Tiger                                                         pointedly asks "Oh, you play do you?" To which Stevie replies " Actually, I do",                                                     "Oh", says Tiger amused, "How do you manage that?" "Well", says Stevie, "My caddy                                            just stands down the faiway in line with the flag and calls out 'This way sir', and I just                                                 hit the ball towards his voice" "Wow", says Tiger, disbelieving, "So, how do you putt?"                                     "Same thing," says Stevie, "My caddy stands on the other side of the hole and calls out,                                       'over here Stevie, 8 yards' and I just putt to his voice". "Wow" says Tiger, getting                                          interested, "So, whats your handicap? If you don't mind me asking?" "Oh" says Stevie,                                              "I play for scratch". "Wow!" Says Tiger, stunned, "Fancy a game sometime this week?                                           Say, $10,000 a hole?" "Sure" says Stevie casually, "Sounds like fun!" "Great!" says Tiger,                                   "What time suits you?" "Oh" replies Stevie deadpan, "Any night'll do!"

Total Consentration

Two guys Red and Ray at a convention get stoned the night before a big golf match.                                              During the match the two half-bombed characters manage to stay even with their                                    opponents through seventeen holes. On the eighteenth, by some miracle, they are in a                                    position to win the match if one of them can sink his seven foot putt. Ray with a spread                                         eagle stance, with feet wide apart--draws his putter back. Just then a big black dog came                                 running across the green, right between the Ray's legs, and out the other side of the                                            green. Ray never flinches but strokes the ball into the hole for the win!                                                                       Red goes wild sayin "I have never seen such total concentration. How did you manage                                              to drop that putt with that dog running between your legs ?..."                                                                                       "Oh", says Ray, "Was that a REAL DOG!!!!"

The golfer called one of the caddies and said, "I want a caddy who can count and keep                                             the score.   What's 3 and 4 and 5 come to?"
"11 sir" said the caddy.                                                                                                                                                     "Good, you'll do perfectly."
