The Dorset Gardens Social Golf Club is a club dedicated to the weekend hacker and caters for both male and female golfers of varying standards.
Our generous handicaps give everyone a chance of a win on game day.
We are based at the Dorset Gardens Hotel in the outer eastern suburb of Croydon, and members can be found in the Sports Bar enjoying an ale or two and a good chat.
We have some thirty odd members who pay a yearly membership fee of $50..00, which among other things entitles them to a free tee shirt.
We venture onto the course of 20 various clubs around the Eastern suburbs and some peninsular courses each fortnight which includes a weekend trip to one of the clubs along the Murray river,
(Rich River this year, the 2nd. 3rd. and 4th. of Sept).
On game day members meet in the hotel car park and those who wish are ferried to the course we are playing by courtesy bus.
Fees each game day is $60..00.
This covers Bus, Green fees and when we get back to the Dorset, a half dozen free drinks and if you've played well enough the chance to win some golf balls.
We run two raffles throughout the year and members are required to help sell the tickets.
